Learning outcomes
Р05. Knowledge to understand the relationship between structure and properties of substances. Р08. To know principles and procedures of physical, chemical, physicochemical research methods, typical equipment, and instruments. Р11. Skill to describe properties of aliphatic, aromatic, heterocyclic, and organometallic compounds, to explain nature and behavior of functional groups in organic molecules. Р14. Skill to perform experimental work to test hypotheses and investigation of chemical phenomena and regularities. Р16. Skill to perform computer calculations related to chemical problems... Р19. Skill to use your knowledge, understanding, competencies, and basic engineering skills to solve practical tasks and problems of nature. Р20. Skill to interpret the experimental data and to correlate this data with corresponding theories in chemistry.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Know organic chemistry at the bachelor's level in "Chemistry". 2. Have the skills of basic laboratory techniques of organic chemistry at the bachelor's level in "Chemistry".
Course content
The basic modern methods of chromatographic analysis are studied: adsorption chromatography: column chromatography, flash chromatography, thin layer chromatography; partition chromatography: paper chromatography, high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), supercritical fluid chromatography (SFC); gas-liquid and gas-solid phase chromatography, affinity chromatography, gel permeation chromatography; rectification, number of theoretical plates (NTP).

Assessment methods and criteria
Semester control includes work in practical classes, including oral examinations, tests, surveys on the topics of tests and laboratory works. Evaluation is carried out on a 100-point system. The maximum / minimum number of points that can be obtained by a student during the semester assessment is 100 points / 60 points.
