Prerequisites and co-requisites
Knowledge of basic courses: analytical, general, inorganic, organic and physical chemistry. Ability to interpret the obtained results.
Course content
In this discipline, the peculiarities of the coordination properties of the central atom and organic and inorganic ligands, the relationship between the coordination structure of a complex compound and its properties are considered in detail. Special attention when reading the course is paid to the nature of chemical bonding in complex compounds and its influence on the properties of complexes. Physico-chemical parameters of complexation processes, isomerism and use of coordination compounds for analytical purposes are also considered within the course.
