Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Know the basic concepts of organic chemistry.
2. Be able to draw formulas of organic compounds.
3. Have basic skills in writing organic reactions.
4. Have basic knowledge of general chemistry.
5. Have an idea of the basics of organic chemistry.
Course content
Basic principles of functioning of multicellular organisms. The structure of the cell and its components, patterns of structure and processes of formation of organisms. Chemical characteristics of biopolymers as a basis of their functional properties.

Assessment methods and criteria
Semester control includes homework and tests. The evaluation is based on a 100-point scale. The maximum / minimum number of points that can be obtained by a student during the semester assessment is 60 points / 36 points. The final assessment is conducted in the form of an exam. The maximum / minimum number of points that can be obtained by a student in the exam is 40 points / 24 points.
