Learning outcomes
Р01. Knowledge to understand key chemical concepts, essential facts, concepts, principles, and theories relating to natural sciences... Р05. Knowledge to understand the relationship between structure and properties of substances. Р06. Knowledge to understand the periodic law and the periodic table of elements, to describe, explain and predict properties of chemical elements and compounds based on them. Р11. Skill to describe properties of aliphatic, aromatic, heterocyclic, and organometallic compounds, to explain nature and behavior of functional groups in organic molecules. Р15. Ability to use acquired knowledge and skills for calculation, displaying, and modeling of chemical systems and processes, as well as the processing of experimental data. Р18. Ability to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of main facts, concepts, principles, and theories in chemistry.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Have basic knowledge of general chemistry. 2. Know the program material of the basic course of organic chemistry at the bachelor's level. 3. To have the basics of knowledge of stereochemistry and mechanisms of organic reactions at the level of the program of the basic course of bachelor's degree in organic chemistry.
Course content
Basic concepts of stereochemistry of different classes of natural compounds, problems of asymmetric synthesis, racemization, stereochemistry of different classes of organic compounds.

Assessment methods and criteria
Semester control includes homework and tests. The evaluation is based on a 100-point scale. The maximum / minimum number of points that can be obtained by a student during the semester assessment is 60 points / 36 points. The final assessment is conducted in the form of an exam. The maximum / minimum number of points that can be obtained by a student in the exam is 40 points / 24 points.
