To present the results of theoretical and applied research to professionals and the general public, the media, experts in other fields of knowledge.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Before studying this course, students must have a basic level in accordance with the requirements for school graduates. 2. Students must know theoretical foundations: meaning of basic philological terms provided by the standard school course. 3. Students must operate with basic techniques and methods: to have skills in formulating their thoughts and ideas about language as a system.
Course content
Part of the course 1. "Ukrainian language in modern professional communication: functional and stylistic aspect". Ukrainian language in modern professional communication as a university discipline. Literary language, its characteristics. The concept of language norms, norms of literary language. Stylistic differentiation of the modern Ukrainian language. Scientific communication. Formal business communication. Mass media communication. Part of the course 2. "Linguistic and stylistic specifics of genres of modern professional communication". The main genres of scientific communication. The main genres of official business communication. Genres of modern mass media communication. Part of the course 3. "Functional resource and linguistic characteristics of lexical and phraseological tools in scientific communication." Special vocabulary and phraseology of modern scientific style of Ukrainian literary language. Modern lexicography.

Assessment methods and criteria
1. Oral presentation, additions and participation in discussions at seminars: 3/5 points 2. Self-study (synopsis of texts): 3/5 points 3. Final test in writing - 6/10 points Final assessment in the form of credit: the final number of points in the course (maximum 100 points) is determined as the sum of points for systematic work during the semester, taking into account the final test. Credit is set based on the results of the student's work throughout the semester and does not provide for additional assessment activities.
