6. To identify, verify and summarize information on various contexts of cultural practice, to determine the degree of their relevance using different sources, information, communication tools and visual technologies.8. To interpret cultural sources (material, printed, visual, artistic) using special literature and certain methods, tо reasonably present conclusions regarding their content.11. To carry out expert assessment of cultural objects according to the criteria set and to provide recommendations for their social actualization.12. To substantiate, develop and implement cultural events and projects in compliance with the law according to the defined goals and objectives.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Before starting this course, students should know the main stages and characteristics of the historical and cultural process; main cultural theories and methods of cultural studies; basic cultural concepts and categories; foundations of law.
2. To be able to collect and interpret information about the phenomena and phenomena of culture, cultural processes and events; apply basic terms, categories of cultural studies and jurisprudence;
3. Possess elementary skills of scientific research and information management; critical attitude and forecasting regarding political, legal, economic, cultural and artistic events and phenomena; the use of foreign language specialized cultural information sources.
Course content
The discipline introduces students to the historical process of formation and development of legal protection of intellectual rights. The concept, system and content of the main institutions of intellectual property, primarily copyright, are clarified. The main trends in the study of intellectual property, in particular copyright, in the field of applied cultural studies are revealed. The tasks and functions of intellectual property are considered. The purpose, tasks, main directions, tools and models of legal policy in the field of intellectual property are defined. Special attention is paid to the comparative analysis of national and foreign intellectual property law, in particular copyright. Modern legislation on intellectual property is studied and analyzed. The specifics of personal non-property and property intellectual rights are consistently considered.

1. Oral presentation, additions and participation in discussions at seminars: 15 / 25 points
2. Self-study (research of the system, historical development, theories, principles and sources of intellectual property, the system and competence of state authorities in the field of intellectual property, a specific institute of intellectual property (of the student's choice): 12 / 20 points
3. Final test in writing: 9 / 15 points
Final assessment in the form of an exam. Examination assessment is in writing - 24 / 40 points
