Learning outcomes
1. To have the skills of critical thinking, to present their own thoughts in a clear way, to make their arguments.
2. To analyze, comment and summarize scientific and analytical texts of culturological format.
4. To know and understand theoretical approaches to definition of culture, its manifestations and forms of existence.
5. To collect, organize and analyze information on cultural phenomena, events, historical and cultural processes.
8. To interpret cultural sources (material, printed, visual, artistic) using special literature and certain methods, tо reasonably present conclusions regarding their content.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Before starting this course, students should know general ideas about theoretical and practical philosophy; about the specifics of philosophical problems in their relation to science, religion, art as forms of the spiritual life of mankind; about the principles of critical understanding of philosophical concepts and about the main options for solving philosophical problems;
2. Be able to carry out analytical work; collect and interpret scientific information, processing the main literature on practical and theoretical philosophy, set general goals and main tasks of philosophical research; operate with the main components of theoretical and practical philosophy in everyday life and general social practice;
3. Possess elementary skills to solve tasks and practical problems in the learning process; study literature on theoretical and practical philosophy; justify the goals and directions of research in philosophy, in particular, analyze the philosophical problems of social practice.

1. Oral presentation, additions and participation in discussions at seminars: 5 / 20 points
