Learning outcomes
2. To analyze, comment and summarize scientific and analytical texts of culturological format. 4.To know and understand theoretical approaches to definition of culture, its manifestations and forms of existence. 5.To collect, organize and analyze information on cultural phenomena, events, historical and cultural processes. 13. To present knowledge about culture according to the specialization of representatives of various professional groups and students.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Before starting this course, students should know the essence of the geography of culture as a scientific interdisciplinary field of geographical research on culture, its theories, laws and regularities; the essence of the geography of culture as a science of geospatial regularities of cultural existence; peculiarities of the development of world culture, the contribution of ancient civilizations to the world cultural heritage; Ukrainian traditional and modern culture.
2. Be able to collect and interpret information about the phenomena and phenomena of culture, cultural processes and events; to determine the main features of the economic and cultural type of ethnic groups, areas of their distribution; find the relationship between the types of landscapes and specific features of the traditional material and ecological culture of the ethnic group. 3. Have basic skills of working in Internet search systems, the ability to receive and analyze information from various sources.
Course content
Part of the course 1. Culture as an object of geographical research. Development of geocultural research in the world and in Ukraine. Scientific schools. The subject of geography of culture. Functional model. Cultural genesis: spatio-temporal dimension (stages of evolutionary development, cultural diffusion). Geospatial features of the formation of traditional culture (HKT). Part of the course 2. Geography of elements of material culture: general patterns (food, housing, clothing. Geography of elements of spiritual culture. Linguistic geography. Geography of world religions. Geography of pilgrimage in the world and in Ukraine. Geocultural zoning of the world.

Assessment methods and criteria
1. Oral presentation, additions: 21/ 30 points
2. Self-study (synopsis of primary sources ): 20 / 40 points
3. Test work: 7 / 10 points
4. Final test: -12/20 points
Final assessment in the form of a credit: the final evaluation for the discipline (minimum 60, maximum 100 points) consists of the sum of the number of points for the semester work (minimum 48, maximum 80 points) and the final test (minimum 12, maximum 20 points).
