Learning outcomes
1. To have the skills of critical thinking, to present their own thoughts in a clear way, to make their arguments. 2. To analyze, comment and summarize scientific and analytical texts of culturological format. 5. To collect, organize and analyze information on cultural phenomena, events, historical and cultural processes. 7. To understand the factors of cultural dynamics, the principles of periodization of cultural processes, their specific features and characteristics. 8. To interpret cultural sources (material, printed, visual, artistic) using special literature and certain methods, tо reasonably present conclusions regarding their content. 14. To conduct a public discussion and maintain a dialogue on Ukrainian culture with professionals and non-specialists.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
• Before studying this course, students should know the main stages and characteristics of historical and cultural processes, which they received in secondary schools of I-III degrees; • Be able to collect and interpret information on the cultural and philosophical life of Ukraine; apply the basic terms, categories and classifications of philosophical sciences in the analysis of socio-political phenomena and processes; collect, systematize and present information about the original and creative experience of modern philosophical research • Have basic skills in research and information management; critical attitude and forecasting in relation to philosophical, political, cultural events and phenomena.
Course content
As a result of mastering the course the student has the ability to: understand the place of Ukrainian philosophy and culture in the development of world and European philosophical and cultural traditions; know the key historical stages of development of Ukrainian philosophy and culture, the main representatives and their ideas; to form one's own opinion on the diversity of philosophical ideas in domestic philosophy. In the process of mastering this course the student will gain basic knowledge about the organizational and scientific-methodological support of teaching the History of Ukrainian culture and philosophy.

Assessment methods and criteria
1. Oral presentation, additions and participation in discussions at seminars: 24/40 points 2.Self-study №1 on the topic №5. Essay on the topic: "The unity of philosophy and life of G.Skovoroda" .: 4/8 points Self-study №2 on topic 7. Essay on "Combination of philosophical ideas of Plato and Kant in the teachings of P. Yurkevich": 4/8 points Self-study №3 to the topic 9. Essay on the topic: "Kyiv worldview and epistemological school (P. Kopnin, V.Shinkaruk)" .: 4/8 points 3. Test work: 8/12 points The semester number of points is formed by the points obtained by the student in the process of mastering the material from all (two) parts of the discipline. The general semester assessment consists of points obtained for 1) classroom work (oral reports, additions and participation in discussions at seminars), 2) independent work (cultural policy research, cultural institute research), 3) control work, taking into account the coefficient 0 , 6.
