Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Before studying this course, students must know the basic concepts and categories of political communication, theory of political systems, general theory of politics, political technology, PR, international relations, etc. 2. Be able to collect and interpret information on political processes; apply basic terms, categories of analysis of socio-political phenomena and processes; identify current trends in the transformation of the information sphere, predict the prospects for their development, taking into account the peculiarities of the use of communication technologies. 3. Have basic skills in research and information management; critical attitude and forecasting regarding political, economic events and phenomena; use of foreign language professional information sources.

Part "Electoral technologies": Electoral management: functions and specifics. The essence and classification of election campaigns. Electoral technologies. Election campaign planning. Constituency analysis. Advertising campaign. Candidate's election headquarters. Voting and summarizing the election. Part "Communication Technologies": Theoretical foundations of communication processes in society. Models of political communication. Features and structure of the communicative act. Laws of communication and features of their application in political spheres. Effects of mass communication in the political sphere. PR as a communication technology. Features of the profession of speechwriter and spin doctor. Communicative technologies in the election process

Criteria for assessing the test are the amount of mastery of educational material, the degree of argumentation and depth of disclosure of the content of the task.
