1. Understand the subject area, ethical and legal principles of professional activity 8. To be able to use the basic categorical, conceptual and analytical research apparatus of modern political science 10. To be able to describe, explain and evaluate political processes and phenomena in different historical, social, cultural and ideological contexts. 12. To be able to analyze the interaction of political actors and institutions, power and governance, political systems and regimes, political behavior in different contexts of their functioning.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
Have basic knowledge of the political history of Ukraine, the history of foreign political thought, and the history of national philosophy and culture. history of foreign political thought, history of national philosophy and culture. Based on knowledge of the history of world political thought, national philosophy and culture, be able to determine the mutual influence and place of theoretical and political searches of Ukrainian thinkers in the world political science discourse, independently analyze the scientific achievements of national political thinkers, understand the origins of modern political thinking. Possess basic skills of scientific research and information management, critical attitude to established stereotypes and provisions of the available research literature on the history of Ukrainian political thought.
Course content
Political thought of the ancient Kyivan period. Ukrainian political thought of the sixteenth and early seventeenth centuries. Political ideas in Ukraine in the early XIX century. Cyril and Methodius Society and political ideas of its members. Public socialism. Political ideas of the Ukrainian movement in Galicia in the second half of the nineteenth century. Socio-political views of the founders of the Ukrainian People's Republic. Mykola Mikhnovsky - theorist of Ukrainian revolutionary nationalism. Integral nationalism of Dmytro Dontsov. Vyacheslav Lypynsky - ideologist of Ukrainian monarchism. Geopolitical concepts in Ukrainian political thought of the first half of the twentieth century. Nationalist concepts in Ukrainian political thought of the first half of the twentieth century.

Assessment methods and criteria
Knowledge control is carried out according to the ECTS system, which provides for a two-level assessment of the material learned, including assessment of theoretical training learning outcomes (knowledge 1.1 - 1.4), which is 40% of the total grade and assessment of practical training - learning outcomes (skills 2.1-2.4); (communication 3.1-3.3); (autonomy and responsibility 4.1-4.3), which is 60% of the total grade.
