Learning outcomes
1.1 Give the definition of basic environmental laws with examples 1.2 Know the structure and functioning of superorganism systems - populations, ecosystems, biosphere 1.3 Know the rules and principles of environmental protection and nature management. 2.1 Identify environmental issues that affect environmental decision-making. 3.1 Present the results of search and analysis of information on current environmental issues. 4.1 Formulate their own judgments about the tasks of decision-making in the field of ecology.

1. Be able to interpret the basic laws of natural sciences; 2. Have the skills to independently search for information and summarize it.
Course content
I. Autecology and democology. 1. Ecology in the system of natural, social and technical sciences. General systems theory and systems approach in ecology. 2. General systems theory. Environmental research methodology. 3. Habitat of living organisms. 4. Population ecology - democology. ІІ. Synecology. Applied ecology in the sociosphere. 5. Synecology. 6. Scientific and technological progress, development of civilization and ecology. 7. The concept of "environmental pollution". The main types of environmental pollution and its consequences.
