Learning outcomes
1.1. Understand the purpose and objectives of social technologies for the public sector. 1.2. Know the basic elements of the mobilization structure of the public sector. 2.1. Identify trends and social mechanisms of public sector functioning. 2.2. Critically read and interpret the results of public sector research in European societies. 3.1. Demonstrate skills of reasoned presentation of one's own opinion, competent and tolerant discussion with opponents.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Know the specifics of the sociological approach to the study of society, social problems, politics and civil society. 2. Be able to create presentations at seminars, in a mass audience. 3. Have basic skills of group work and public discussion.
Course content
1. Democracy in the modern world. 2. The concept of the public sector. 3. The structure of the public sector and the conditions of its operation. 4. Public sector actors. 5. Public sector assessment. 6. Social technologies and their principles of implementation in the public sector. 7. Technologies of volunteering. 8. Youth public initiatives. 9. Technologies for promoting gender equality. 10. Maidan public sector.
