Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Successful mastering of the disciplines "General Cytology", "Biology of Individual Development", "Human Anatomy and Physiology", "Genetics", "Biochemistry", "Molecular Biology", "Biotechnology". 2. Ability to independently apply cellular-molecular and embryological knowledge to solve specific scientific and practical problems; work with scientific and methodological literature. 3. Possession of basic skills of cell cultivation and monitoring of cell line development.
Course content
The discipline is a basic applied embryological and biotechnological discipline that covers the methods of manipulation of germ cells at all stages of their development, some or all stages of preparation of reproductive cells, methods of hybridization of somatic cells belonging to different species, the possibility of cloning tissues or organisms; processes of fertilization and development of embryos, carried out in vitro, before their transfer to the uterus. The discipline is designed to highlight the main issues regarding the peculiarities of the basics of various embryological and cellular techniques and assisted reproductive methods; practical use of reproductive methods in various areas of human economic activity: in modern veterinary medicine, breeding, medicine and research.
