1. Successful mastering of the courses "Ecology", "Botany", "Zoology", "Molecular Biology", "Microbiology", "Virology", "General Genetics", "Bioinformatics". 2. Be able to independently apply knowledge of molecular biology, genetics, botany, zoology, etc. disciplines, perform practical work, work with scientific and methodological literature. 3. Have basic skills in working with computer programs and databases used to search for and analyze traits (DNA and protein sequences, morphological and ecological features of taxa, etc.).
Course content
Phylogenetic analysis is a modern approach to the study of the evolutionary history of organisms and their relatedness in many biological sciences (genetics, microbiology, virology, zoology, botany, etc.). Within the discipline "Phylogenetic analysis" students have the opportunity to get acquainted with the theory and practice of phylogenetic analysis, master the skills of its implementation, learn to formulate an evolutionary scenario for the existing phylogenetic tree. The discipline "Phylogenetic analysis" is a component of the cycle of professional training of specialists of educational level "master", its theoretical core consists of such sciences as the theory of evolution and statistical analysis. At the same time, it is closely related to such disciplines as biodiversity, taxonomy, bio- and phylogeography, evolutionary morphology, etc.
