Prerequisites and co-requisites
Successful mastering of the courses "Physiology and Anatomy of Man and Animals", "Biochemistry", "Biophysics", "Molecular Biology", "Cytology", "Modern Information Technologies in biology "bachelor's degree.
Course content
The curriculum consists of sections that reveal the basic fundamental and special aspects of neurobiology, as well as its applied dimension. Molecular and systemic features of the functioning of the nervous system as one that provides regulation of body functions, its adaptation to environmental conditions and in the context of the development of pathological changes are outlined. Methodological approaches of instrumental research of nervous functions, visualization of nervous system work, modeling of processes in neurons and neural networks, basics of neuroinformatics are covered. The course also considers the factors of pathological changes in the nervous system, mechanisms and role of pain. Students are taught modern advances in neurobiology of sensory systems and cognitive functions, including memory and learning.
