Learning outcomes
PR09. Plan research, choose effective research methods and their material support. PR10. Present the results of scientific work in writing (in the form of a report, scientific publications, etc.) and orally (in the form of reports and defense of the report) using modern technologies, argue their position in the scientific discussion. PR12. Use innovative approaches to solve complex problems of biology under uncertain conditions and requirements. PR13. Adhere to the basic rules of biological ethics, biosafety, biosecurity, assess the risks of using the latest biological, biotechnological and medicobiological methods and technologies, identify potentially dangerous organisms or production processes that may pose a threat of emergencies. PR19. Solve scientific-theoretical, research and applied problems of biology by appropriate methods.
Form of study
Full-time form
Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Successful mastering of courses of PR "Bachelor". 2. To be able to independently perform practical work, work with scientific and methodological literature. 3. Have basic skills in working with materials and equipment used in biological and biotechnological laboratories.
Course content
Discipline "Pilot projects" covers the study of key patterns in the development of a pilot project in the field of biochemistry, calculating its economic component, risk assessment of project implementation in the biotechnology sector, miscalculations of all stages of the pilot project, their features and potential risks impossibility to bring the pilot project to its completion and write a business plan on the basis of which it is possible to implement the developed technology in production and entry into the biotechnology market.

Lecture, practical classes, independent work.
Assessment methods and criteria
- semester assessment: 1. Modular control work 1 - PH 1.1., 1.2. - 20 points / 10 points. 2. Modular control work 2 - PH 1.3., 1.4. - 20 points / 10 points. 3. Protocols of practical classes - RN 2.1., 3.1. - 30 points / 20 points. 4. Test work, survey - RN 1.1.-4.1. - 30 points / 20 points. If during the semester the student scored below the minimum threshold (50% of the maximum possible number of points) for each planned learning outcome (for example, 9 points for Modular Test 1), points are not added to the semester final grade. - final assessment: in the form of a credit
