PLO 3. Apply modern methods and technologies for successful and effective implementation of professional activities and ensuring the quality of research in a specific philological field PLO 5. Prerequisites and co-requisites
2.1. Know the characteristics of language as a resource of social communication. 2.2. To be able to analyze the spheres of social communication according to the linguistic objectivity. 2.3. Possess elementary skills of linguistic analysis of media texts of various genres.
Course content
The specifics of PR-linguistics as a direction of humanitarian knowledge are outlined - in connection with the elaboration of main results of scientific observations in this field, the formation and dynamics of its terminology. The functional resource of media texts and genres of PR direction is studied, motivated by a combination of extra- and intralingual factors, correspondence to tasks and resources of media communication.

Assessment methods and criteria
During the semester - 60 points, exam - 40 points. To receive an overall positive grade in the discipline for the exam a student should get not less than 24 points (60%). The exam ticket consists of two questions: theoretical (50%), practical (50%), which are evaluated for 20 points each.
