Learning outcomes
PLO 1. To have critical thinking skills, to explain one's own thoughts in an understandable way, to implement them argumentation PLO 4. Know and understand theoretical approaches to the definition of culture, its manifestations and forms of existence. PLO 7. To understand the factors of ethnocultural dynamics, the principles of periodization of ethnocultural processes, their specific traits and characteristics. PLO 10. Recognize and classify different types of ethno-cultural products, determine their quality characteristics based on comprehensive analysis. PLO 13. To present knowledge about ethnoculture in accordance with the specialization of representatives of different professional groups and education seekers.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
Know: • current problems, leading scientific theories and methods of ethnocultural research; • peculiarities of the organization of scientific and research work; • priority directions for further research development on selected topics of their coursework; • the main stages of carrying out scientific research work on the chosen topic; Be able to: • choose and analyze sources of information according to the direction of your research, adequately apply them in your own scientific practice; • justify the relevance of research in the chosen thematic direction; • set the goal of the research and the tasks that must be performed to achieve it; • form the object and subject of scientific research; • choose research methods; Possess skills: • research search and structural and systematic analysis of specialized literature; • implementation of ethnocultural analysis of the material, formulation of conclusions regarding the conducted research work.
Course content
Course work on ethnocultural studies is carried out in the 6th semester of the third year of study of students of higher education at the first (bachelor) level of higher education specialty 034 "Culturology". According to the curriculum for course work with 60 hours of ethnocultural studies are provided (2 ECTS credits). There is a coursework on ethnocultural studies individual research work, which makes it possible to reveal the level of assimilation acquirer of higher education theoretical knowledge and practical training, ability to work independently the future ethnocultural specialist. The course work on ethnocultural studies is original, completed research in the field of knowledge 03 "Humanities", specialty 034 "Culturology", which contains a set of results, provisions proposed for public protection. Course work is performed in accordance with the directions of scientific and applied research from of ethnocultural studies and must prove: conscious assimilation of knowledge and their systematization; level professional training of the applicant; the ability to think critically and the ability to argue one's own position; the student has professional work skills. The coursework is performed on the basis of the study of special domestic and foreign literature, experience from the selected problem, as well as the results of own research with the aim of solving the identified applied tasks in the field of future professional activity.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Consultation with a supervisor, independent work on the research topic, writing a course work, preparing a presentation, and defending the course work.
Assessment methods and criteria
The maximum grade for a term paper on folk art is 100 points. The minimum positive grade is 60 points. The total number of points consists of the sum of points, which includes: • feedback from the supervisor (maximum 10 points) • quality of research (maximum 50 points) • defense-presentation of the course work (maximum 40 points)
