PLO 5. Collect, organize and analyze information about cultural phenomena, events and historical and cultural processes. PLO 7. To understand the factors of ethnocultural dynamics, the principles of periodization of ethnocultural processes, their specific features and characteristics. PLO 9. To analyze the effectiveness of cultural policies, technologies for the implementation of cultural ideas in the context of specific parameters of their implementation.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
Before starting the study of this discipline, students should know the key milestones of the development of art on the territory of Europe; the main conceptual and terminological apparatus of art history; To be able to characterize the main stages of art history, to independently improve knowledge by searching for and processing relevant information with the help of modern technologies. Possess elementary skills of source criticism, historical analysis, establishment of cause and effect relationships.
Course content
Purpose of discipline - to form in students a complex of knowledge on the history of art from antiquity to the present. Acquaintance with the peculiarities of the art of European countries, leading works of art, the history of their creation; generation of competencies and practices of research work within the framework of interdisciplinary art studies. Annotation. The target orientation of this educational subject is to form basic knowledge in the field of arts in the students: from ancient times to modern times. In the course of training, future specialists will familiarize themselves with the historical stages of the development of European art; learn to distinguish the main artistic directions and styles, analyze and interpret works of visual/stage art, draw parallels between cultural models of the past and the present.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
The course includes 2 content parts. The first part of the course is "History of art: from primitive times to the Renaissance", the second part of the course is "Genesis and development of modern art: from the New Age to the present." Forms of education: lectures, seminar classes, control work, individual work. Throughout the semester, after lectures on relevant topics, seminar classes are held, at which evaluation is carried out according to the types of work (report, supplement, participation in discussion, individual work, control work in the form of testing, exam). The student submits the individual work to the teacher no later than two weeks before the Content Module 1 (Individual Work 1) and Content Module 2 (Individual Work 2).
Assessment methods and criteria
The control of the student's knowledge is carried out according to the modular rating system. Assessment of student knowledge success is carried out in two forms: semester assessment (tests, oral survey, individual work) and final assessment (exam). The total number of points is 100 points (of which, the semester assessment is a maximum of 60 points; the final assessment (exam) is a maximum of 40 points).
