            PLO 2. To have deep knowledge of the state and foreign languages for the written and oral communication purposes, professional and scientific communication in particular; to present research results in the state and foreign languages.
PLO 6. To apply knowledge of expressive, emotional and logical linguistic means, and speech techniques in order to achieve intended pragmatic results and establish successful communication PLO 10. To demonstrate in-depth knowledge of folklore studies, intercultural communication and the foreign language PLO12. Adhere to the rules of academic integrity.

            Prerequisites and co-requisites
        
        
            Prior to studying this course, students should know the genre system of folklore, historical, mythological and ethnographic features of ethnic groups living in Ukraine. 
Be able to work with various sources of educational and scientific information, process it, make generalizations and conclusions. Identify similarities and differences, determine parallels between verbal and non-verbal texts, tangible and intangible cultural objects, and the interactions between them. 
Possess basic skills of scientific research and comparative and analytical studies.
        
    
            Course content
        
        
            The aim of the discipline is to form a system of knowledge about the basics of intercultural communication, interaction processes (conflict, assimilation) and development trends (globalization), to identify ways of stereotyping, highlighting ethnic, religious or other features of cultural groups in cultural texts.

            Planned learning activities and teaching methods
        
        
            Lectures, seminars, workshops, and control in the form of module work are held. Independent work is also expected.
        
    
            Assessment methods and criteria
        
        
            The number of semester points is based on the points obtained by the student in the process of mastering the material on all topics of the four content modules, the student's activity in class, and the completeness of oral answers to questions. The maximum number of points that a student can receive in case of diligent work in seminars and successful completion of all current tests is 60 points.
         The final assessment is carried out in the form of a written exam. The maximum score is 40 points.
