Prerequisites and co-requisites
Before starting this course, students should know the characteristic features folklore of different ethnic groups, possess factual knowledge of humanitarian cycle. To be able to collect and interpret folklore texts of different ethnic groups that live on the territory of Ukraine; distinguish universal features of the national folklore of each ethnic group. Possess elementary skills of scientific research and management information; critical attitude to the analyzed phenomena; using foreign language professional informative sources; works with folklore texts.
Course content
Purpose of discipline – consists in clarifying a complex of problems related to the specifics and dynamics of everyday life genres of ceremonial and non-ceremonial folklore, fabulous and non-fabulous folk prose at the level of inter-ethnic relations; deepen knowledge of the folklore of various ethnic groups living in the territory of Ukraine. Аnotatsiya. The discipline gives an idea of ​​the genre paradigm of different oral literature ethnic groups living on the territory of Ukraine; a set of problems related to the specifics and dynamics of everyday life genres of ritual and non-ritual folklore, fairy tale and non-tale folk prose; about the state of folklore research; about the state of preservation and the nature of folklore of different ethnic groups in modern conditions and the expression of interethnic polylogue. The discipline is part of the research component of the educational program, therefore it provides such forms of conducting classes as a scientific seminar, preparation of a scientific report.

Assessment methods and criteria
The credit is given based on the results of the student's work throughout the semester and does not provide for additional evaluation measures. For students who scored a total of less than 60 points, to receive credit it is absolutely necessary to compile the material (no later than a week before the end course) on the topics for which the debt arose, in the form of writing intermediate control papers, oral answers to research tasks, presentations of independent research. Therefore, the final grade for the discipline (minimum 60, maximum 100 points) consists of the sum of the number of points for the semester work (minimum 48, maximum 80 points) and the final test (minimum 12, maximum 20 points).
