1. Knowledge of basic literary terms and concepts; 2. Possession of basic skills of philological analysis and interpretation of poetic text. 3. The ability to pragmatically work out the poetic aspects of a scientific text.
Course content
Purpose: to identify and develop students' practical skills in writing poetic texts belonging to various genres of poetic creativity. This also actualizes the need to consolidate theoretical knowledge of versification, genre studies, poetic stylistics, semantics, icons, eidology, etc. Abstract: in «Poetry workshop» considerable attention is paid to both the terminological definition of poetic concepts and their practical mastery. The discipline involves classroom work in the form of practical classes and independent work aimed at the study of specialized literature, critical reading of various genre samples of poetry, performance of creative tasks in poetic writing, their classroom and online analysis. Imitating the experience of Ukrainian and foreign authors, students master the secrets of writing poetic texts, their professional evaluation, promotion, and publication.

Assessment methods and criteria
The answer in the practical session is min. 2 points / max. – 3; supplements at practical classes – min. 1 points / max. – 2; written works of intermediate controls – min. 3 points / max. – 5; author's text in small verse form  min. 5 points / max. – 15; final control work  min. 12 points / max. – 20. The final grade for the discipline (min. 60, max. 100) consists of the sum of points for the semester work (min. 48, max. 80) and the final test (min. 12, max. 20 points). Rating correspondence scale: «Enrolled» – 60-100 «Not counted» – 0-59
