Specific admission requirements
YEVI (General Academic Competence Test) — 0.20; YEVI (Foreign Language) — 0.20; Subject Test in Economics and International Economics — 0.60. A document certifying the previous level of higher education is required; special conditions apply in accordance with the KNU 2026 Admission Regulations.
Specific arrangements for recognition of prior learning
The recognition and transfer of learning outcomes are carried out in accordance with KNU’s current regulations on academic mobility and the transfer of learning outcomes. Mobility procedures involve the use of documents such as the Learning Agreement (or internship agreement) and the Academic Transcript, among others; decisions regarding disputed cases are made in accordance with the procedures established by the University.
Qualification requirements and regulations, including graduation requirements
Completion of the professional (pre-graduation) internship with a score of at least 75 points; 2) selection of a specialized block of courses from the curriculum and achievement of an average score of at least 75 across all courses included in that block; 3) achievement of a score of at least 75 points on the comprehensive qualification exam for the educational program.
Programme learning outcomes
PLO 1. Possess sufficient knowledge of international business as both a field of activity and a discipline, as well as skills in business communication within international entrepreneurship; communicate effectively at professional and social levels, including oral and written communication in foreign languages.
PLO 7. Research and analyze the contemporary international business environment and the impact of economic and non-economic factors—specifically socio-cultural, religious, and technical-technological ones—on its uncertainty, risk, and turbulence; take these factors into account during business operations.
PLO 8. Identify and promptly respond to quantitative and qualitative changes in the types, institutional and functional forms, and participants of international business, as well as in competitive management and marketing strategies; develop measures to minimize the negative consequences of international competition.
PLO 9. Understand the essence of the socialization of international business within the context of sustainable eco-economic development and implement the principles and criteria of corporate social responsibility across all international business entities.
PLO 10. Continuously monitor, analyze, and evaluate the scope and forms of activity of modern international business institutions (companies, strategic alliances, financial-industrial groups, network corporate structures), their behavior in global and regional markets, and their methods of competitive struggle. PLO 17 Formulate effective business models and organizational structures for international companies, taking into account legal, financial, and ethical aspects.

PLO 19 Utilize digital transformation tools and process automation in international business administration.
PLO 20 Develop and implement international marketing strategies, considering the cultural, economic, and political characteristics of target markets.

Examination regulations and grading scale
Written and oral exams, pass/fail assessments, graded assessments, continuous assessment, modular tests, essays, case studies, presentations, other seminar and independent work activities, reporting and defense of research-based internship results, defense of term papers, comprehensive qualifying exam, defense of the final qualifying project, etc. A standard 100-point grading scale is applied, where: 90–100 = Excellent; 75–89 = Good; 60–74 = Satisfactory; 0–60 = Unsatisfactory.
Оbligatory or optional mobility windows (if applicable)
Cooperation regarding student international mobility and the corresponding transfer of academic credits is conducted based on bilateral agreements between the Educational and Scientific Institute of International Relations (Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv) and educational institutions in partner countries (Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Belgium, Greece, Georgia, India, Spain, Italy, Kazakhstan, China, Cyprus, Lithuania, Morocco, Germany, Poland, the USA, Hungary, Uzbekistan, France, and Croatia). The mechanism for implementing international credit mobility is governed by the "Regulation on the Procedure for Exercising the Right to Academic Mobility at Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv" (dated June 29, 2016) and the "Regulation on the Procedure for Transferring Learning Outcomes at Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv" (dated June 29, 2016).
Work placement
An industrial (pre-graduation) internship is required. Potential host organizations include government bodies, KNU/IIR, institutions of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, international organizations, and domestic or foreign business entities.
Work-based learning
A distinct dual form is not defined as a mode of delivery for the educational program. Practical training is provided through internships, case studies, and projects, as well as the involvement of practitioners from business, government agencies, and non-governmental organizations.
