Programme learning outcomes
LO01. Identify problem situations, perform their research based on a systems approach and its principles, make an informed choice of models and methods for effective management decisions, apply models and decision-making methods in the study of business processes in organizations, forecasting enterprise development and subject area of computer science. LO02. Use models and methods of decision-making based on fuzzy set theory and in conditions of uncertainty and risk in the management process, the formulation of new innovative tasks and approaches in the implementation of business processes in various applications. LO03. Learn new tools for working with data, searching and processing information in networks for forecasting business processes and situational management, SWOP-analysis, feedback, development of information-analytical systems for business processes in technology, economic and social systems, e-commerce, media, social networks, banking, advertising, health care, etc. LO04. Be able to formulate monitoring tasks in the study of systems and analyze and effectively use large amounts of data of various natures, design data warehouses to extract new data and knowledge, visualize them, use them in business process research and responsible decision making, build and evaluate regressive models generated based on this data. LO05. The best masters of the educational program "Business Informatics" will be awarded under the international grant CPEA-LT-2016/10003 "Advanced Collaborative Program for Research Based Education on Risk Management in Industry and Services under Global Economic, Technological and Environmental Changes: Enhanced Edition" (2017 -2022) for training and internships at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (Trondheim, Kingdom of Norway) and project partner universities.
Work placement
Production practice can be conducted both on the basis of the graduating department and on the basis of enterprises, organizations, research institutes, banks, insurance companies and other institutions engaged in the design, development, implementation and operation of automated information systems. The choice of practice bases is carried out in coordination with the graduating department, taking into account the tasks of practice and the possibility of their implementation. In particular, the following organizations can act as production practice bases: Samsung, GlobalLogic, Avora, EPAM, SoftServ, InfoPulse, DataArt and others.
