Programme learning outcomes
Cognitive (cognitive sphere) RN1) Knowledge of modern theoretical and methodological provisions, advanced concepts, research and professional methods activities in the field of tourism and recreation and the ability to apply them in research work to obtain new knowledge and/or new interpretations, methods of recreational and tourist analysis and synthesis. PH2) Ability to use information and innovation methods and technologies in scientific activity on development issues tourism and recreation. RN3) Ability to initiate, develop and implement projects in sphere of recreation, tourism, hospitality. PH4) Ability to generalize scientific results research based on modern interdisciplinary approaches, application of scientific methodological principles and methodological principles research methods of the system of sciences that form tourism, use of thematic information resources in research, leading domestic and foreign experience in the subject research. RN5) Knowledge of patterns and principles of organization of the educational process in higher education institutions. RN6) Ability to achieve pedagogical goals in the process of preparation students of higher tourism education. Affective (emotional) sphere RN 7) Be fluent in the state language and use it in professional activity. RN8) To have foreign language(s) both orally and in writing, in the amount sufficient for understanding foreign language scientific texts from recreational tourism and related studies and presentation of the results of their scientific work for discussion. PH9) Act in a multicultural environment, using communication skills and technologies. PH10) Demonstrate the ability to intercultural interaction in in the field of international tourism education and professional activity. РН11) Meet the requirements of communication in dialog mode with the wider scientific community and the public in the field of tourism and recreation. Psychomotor sphere PH12) Demonstrate the ability to self-develop and self-improvement throughout life. RN13) Initiate innovative scientific projects, demonstrate leadership during their implementation.

Examination regulations and grading scale
Written and oral exams, oral presentations, seminars and research reports with assessment of what has been achieved, final certification. Final certification is carried out in two directions: 1) evaluation of the theoretical and practical professional level preparation (taking a comprehensive final exam for specialty 242 "Tourism and recreation" in accordance with of the training plan for doctors of philosophy); 2) establishing the appropriateness of the scientific research level preparation for the requirements for a doctor of philosophy specialty 242 "Tourism and recreation" (Public protection scientific achievements in the form of a dissertation. Mandatory condition admission to the defense is the successful completion of it by the graduate student individual curriculum).

National credit mobility is provided by agreements on cooperation between the department of country studies and tourism and Higher Education of Ukraine in accordance with the conditions contract International credit mobility is provided by the Erasmus + program and bilateral agreements between KNU named after Taras Shevchenko and foreign higher education institutions, which conduct training of highly qualified personnel on tourism issues and recreation.
