Graduates who successfully defend their qualifying project and pass a comprehensive examination are issued a standard form document which certifies they have been conferred the educational qualification: degree of Master of Journalism. To be awarded the professional qualification “Multimedia Journalist", a student must receive at least 75 points from the courses CC3, CC5, CC6, CC8, CC9, CC10, CC12, CC13, EC1, EC3, a comprehensive examination, and defence of the master's innovative project.
Programme learning outcomes
PLO-1. To analyze and summarize research findings, draw conclusions on the patterns of art and culture, and cross-cultural communication process. PLO-2. To plan social communication research commissioned by specialized arts and cultural institutions and organizations. PLO-3. To write a review of a research article and/or an innovative project on art and culture. PLO-4. To use foreign languages to promote and enhance their research and/or innovation work whose improvement is a required element of multiple information access and high quality information product creation. PLO-5. To develop a ‘roadmap’ for solving the identified problem. PLO-6. To draw conclusions about the effectiveness of the research on art and culture, and cross-cultural communication, given its multidisciplinary nature. PLO-7. To schedule the time required to conduct research or develop an innovative project applying modern approaches to covering art and culture related topics and their role in cross-cultural communication. PLO-8. To identify problem areas in the activities of modern media organizations that produce and share art and cultural content given its role in cross-cultural communication and its mission in modern ideological standoff. PLO-9. To demonstrate the ability to find contractors for research or development of innovative projects, taking into consideration the role of art and cultural product in cross-cultural communication. PLO-10.To apply specialized conceptual expertise in social communications when developing a scientific work or an innovative project aimed to establish the positive image of Ukraine and protect its national interests in the course of cross-cultural communication. PLO-11. To assess professional problem areas applying knowledge from a variety of subject areas that encompass art and cultural life and cross-cultural communication. PLO-12. To search for the knowledge necessary to plan research in the field of arts and culture (art media). PLO-13. To conduct audience surveys within the planned scientific research in the field of arts and culture (art media). PLO-14. To write a research article based on the results of the research in the field of arts and culture (art media). PLO-15. To draw conclusions about the incompleteness of the research and the application of new approaches to study (monitoring) of art and cultural content. PLO-16. To write a report on the work of the media team outlining proposals for improving professional activities given new approaches (infotainment, interactivity, multimedia technologies, etc.) to creation and dissemination of art and cultural information product. PLO-17. To do a self-analysis through writing a report on their research and/or implementation activities in the sphere of the efficacy of performance of media organizations which create and disseminate art and cultural information products, and art media.

Work placement
