Specific admission requirements
Professionally-oriented creative competition in audiovisual art and production aimed to demonstrate an entrant's skill to meet the programme requirements which foresee creative tasks. The creative competition consists of one stage, which can be divided into separate creative tasks.
Specific arrangements for recognition of prior learning
Complete General Secondary Education: Certificate of the Ukrainian Center for Educational Quality Assessment in competitive subjects.
Qualification requirements and regulations, including graduation requirements
Undergraduates who have successfully defended their qualifying project and passed their qualifying examination with not less than 65 points are issued a standard form document which certifies they have been conferred the educational qualification: Bachelor of Audiovisual Arts and Production.
To be awarded the professional qualification 3131 “Assistant Audio Engineer”, a student must receive at least 80 points for internships, trainings, and the courses CC13, CC15, CC16, EC1 or EC2.
Programme learning outcomes
PLO1. To possess knowledge of the methods and techniques of editorial / screen/scriptwriting / production / directing / filming / audio engineering activities when creating audiovisual works.
PLO2. To possess knowledge of the methods and skills of working with editing hardware and software.
PLO3. To possess knowledge of the methods and skills of working with lighting equipment and other tools.
PLO4. To possess knowledge of the methods and skills of working with sound recording and sound reproducing equipment.
PLO5. To generate new ideas to implement them in an audiovisual work.
PLO6. To create a dramatic concept and script of different types, genres, styles.
PLO7. To give expression to the author's idea of the audiovisual work at production stage.
PLO8. To maintain preparatory, production and post-production stages of audiovisual works of various types, genres, styles.
PLO9. To plan and organize the work of the team to perform professional tasks.
PLO10.To prepare production documentation (application, shooting schedule, cost estimates, etc.).
PLO11.To know, understand and apply the conceptual and stylistic standards of television broadcasting, know the features of live broadcasting, and how to prepare television programs of various genres.
PLO12. To understand the financial and administrative principles of running art events, organizing the work of production teams, television channels and other audiovisual institutions.
PLO13. To demonstrate a high level of oral communication skills, artistry.
PLO14. To be capable of maintaining contact with mass media outlets to educate, popularize, and promote the achievements of audiovisual art.
PLO15. To be capable of communicating with representatives of other professions of different levels (with experts from other fields of expertise/ types of economic activity).
PLO16. To use spoken and written official state and foreign languages with a level of proficiency and fluency to organize a successful professional communication.
PLO17. To collect, assess, analyze and process information using modern information technology and specialized software.
PLO18. To take effective decisions based on relevant data using modern methods and decision-making tools, including MCDM, to solve problems that are characterized by uncertainty.

Work placement
Internship - 2 year, 3 semester, November-December, 4 weeks.
On-the-job Training - 2 year, 4 semester, January-March, 8 weeks; 3 year, 5 semester, November-December, 6 weeks.
Pre-diploma internship - 4 year, 8 semester, April, 4 weeks.

Undergraduates of the specialty 021 "Audiovisual Art and Production", educational program "Audio Engineering", can work in film and TV positions: an art critic, audio director, music editor, audio engineer, sound designer in various institutions / production teams of the audiovisual sphere (film studios, TV studios, radio studios, editorial offices, etc.), as well as in other institutions of various levels and forms of ownership.
